The calendars below covers all training areas on Fort Leavenworth. The calendar is subject to change on short notice. The most up-to-date calendar is located at the Staff Duty office in Garrison HQ, and posted on the East Dock wall. Military training takes precedence over all other training area usage.
Fort Leavenworth is responsible for the US Army Combined Arms Center mission to provide leadership development, collective training and Army doctrine and battle command through the US Army Command and General Staff College and the Foreign Military Studies Office.
The base is also home to one of the last Army Flying Clubs in the United States. The Fort Leavenworth Army Flying Club at Sherman Army Airfield provides active duty and retired soldiers the opportunity to earn their pilots license.
The Operational Environment Laboratory (OEL) at Fort Leavenworth invited a Red Team in for a three-day leader program. The goal is to produce soldiers who don’t hesitate to find the flaws in a commander’s strategies to prevent failed operations and save lives.
The Army Red Team Leaders Course is conducted by the University of Foreign Military and Cultural Studies at Fort Leavenworth.The target students are graduates of the U.S. Army CGSC or equivalent intermediate and senior level school (Major through Colonel, and Chief Warrant Officer 3/4/5 with MEL IV qualification or equivalent) and to a much-lesser extent, highly trained civilians.
