INSULIN ADMINISTRATION TRAINING The Subtype Certification has been approved by the Indiana State Department of health for QMA’s to administer insulin. The training will follow the ISDH approved curriculum.
During the Qualified Medication Aide (QMA) Program Director Education course, you will review program operational standards to be used in the development and presentation of an educational program for QMAs. You will learn adult learning concepts, teaching strategies, and assessment of learning as applied to the standards.
A QMA performs duties with proficiency and provides medication and records the provision of medications to residents under the direction and monitoring of a registered nurse according to the provision of State Regulations for Medication Aides.
