FQE was founded in 2019 by Jessica Southard, a former Baruch BSFM student. Jessica created FQE with the vision to help Baruch Financial Mathematics students pursue a rewarding career in Financial Engineering. To continue Jessica’s work, FQE’s E-Board is actively working to increase the number of Baruch BSFM students in Baruch’s MFE Program.

It’s a great major. It’s not easy to get in, but if you do, it’s on par with computer science in terms of difficulty and thinking involved. That would definitely help you land quant /risk internships as an undergrad. But to advance in that career, a masters is definitely needed as you would be working with PhDs and other masters students. level 2.
