Is it better to be a teacher or a social worker?

The teaching field is impacted, while the social work field will continue to grow. Teachers get paid like shit. Teachers have summer break, but you don’t need to work all week as a social worker depending on what you specialize in. Do you get paid more than teachers in your area?

Should I get an MSW or a teaching job?

Seems like if you enjoy being in a school for the rest of your life, teaching is for you. An MSW opens up very many broad opportunities…some of which involve working with kids and some even involve working in schools with kids. I went through career counseling at my university and it came down to teaching or social work.
